The take away coffees are highly recommended. Open and courteous service even during the Corona period. We would love to come back!

Good food and service, hip decor, was very noisy.

So it wasn't so nice here. Everything looked old and broken. All plates had quirks and the cake was from Coppenrath and Wiese. The service staff was friendly. However, the coffee was well attended ?! Prices were cheap. 2 x latte macchiato and 2 x cake, 12 euros.

We stopped at Café Jakubowski for a bit drink and piece of cake, and fell in love! Wonderful ambiance, smiling people (under the face masks), delicious coffee and baked cheese cake. We are tourist for the weekend, thus will have to wait for some time to be back, but we will! ♥️

Favorite café in Mülheim. Very cozy, lovingly furnished with changing pictures on the walls. Delicious coffee, no extra charge is made for milk alternatives. The Russian plucked cake and scrambled eggs are highly recommended. There are 5 stars when the toilets are renovated

The location is so-so, not particularly pretty or loving. The food is delicious, if extremely average. However, some highlights such as the pancakes make the enjoyment special. The waitress was friendly and accommodating - huge downside is that you can't tip if you pay by card, which is disastrous for the staff. The prices are clearly too high and are unfortunately not really in proportion to the quality that is offered. I would like to give a little more than three stars, but ultimately it's not four.

The interior of the café is very nice and inviting. Unfortunately, due to the construction and interior design, it gets very loud very quickly, so that you could only speak with a raised voice. The staff was very friendly! The breakfast was partly very good (the pancakes are recommended, as is the omelette) and partly not particularly good (the bread was unfortunately rather dry and not fresh). The drinks were good. All in all, the dishes are good but not exceptional in quality or taste. I found the prices reasonable to slightly too expensive. All in all, you can have breakfast here, but I would not go there for a second time.

We were having breakfast. Here I had u. a. Milan salami for € 2.8. There were three, numbered 3, slices, thinly sliced. With all due respect, that is usury. So I can't recommend it, too bad

Breakfast and coffee were delicious. Unfortunately, our service staff was less friendly and made one or two comments that should have been expressed more skillfully. We will probably not come back, there are many great cafés in Cologne where it tastes good and the service is friendly. On a free weekend, I don't want to get snappy answers to my questions. I hope this criticism finds a constructive way.

Spontaneous visit to drink a cappuccino. I like to drink cappuccino and have to say that I haven't had a delicious cappuccino in a long time! Super cool, so the day can start :-) Please keep it up !!!

I'm addicted to the Russian plucked cake. I was actually told the recipe. Anyone can easily bake them themselves. The house red wine is very tasty. Be careful, it's addictive too!

They are finally back. Everything we ate was delicious. Pleasant atmosphere, reasonable prices. We will be back

Great coffee... But so much more

Super nice cafe. I would gladly come for a coffee or a delicious meal after a walk along the Rhine. The staff is super friendly and everything I've tried so far was delicious.

Great cafe! Tasty mint tea and good cappuccino (although the cups could be a bit bigger), good breakfast :) & terrific apple pie - really tasted like grandma! The atmosphere and decor I liked and you can sit in the cold season pleasant on the Heizungsbank. I would like to come back! PS: I would have a suggestion for improvement: instead of the plastic-packed honey to cereal it would have been both visually beautiful and delicious and sustainable, he would have been unpacked in a small bowl served. Is also cheaper to take it from a large glass. This plastic portion irritated me a bit and did not fit in with the other ambience / concept of the café.

It's a cozy Cafe with a broad variety of dishes and drinks. The food was tasty, there were vegan and vegetarian options and the prices were medium expensive. I recommend this place for a family meet up or for meeting friends for brunch.

café jakubowski serves coffee, cake, small dishes and salads. the quality of the food and coffee is ok, but nothing to write home about. the place tends to get quite crowded in which case the service can't keep up and often becomes unfriendly. in addition, the room has unfavourable acoustics and can get quite loud.

Nice place to have a coffee or meal. The staff sometimes just doesn’t care. But only sometimes, not frequently. I couldn’t find any rule on this. Other than that, everything is very good.

Be prepared to spend a while there. A simple lunch for 3 took about 70 mins, and there was no wait for a table. Food was good quality but nothing that you couldn't make with decent ingredients at home.

favorite cafe place

This is my favorite coffee shop in the old Mülheim - friendly staff, food is good, cake too. And the atmosphere is always very pleasant.

Good brunch selection (you have to arrive early though! reservation is a must) and a instant classic in Mülheim.

A very nice place for a lazy sunny brunch

Friendly modern cafe with some very tasty food. Went for an evening meal, very enjoyable experience. My pasta dish was excellent, friends who ordered salads were also very impressed. Finished off with some very good cakes and coffees. Note that the menu was only in German, though the waiter spoke enough English to help with a few of our menu questions.
